Nittany Valley Writers Network Meeting

The Nittany Valley Writers Network will meet on Tuesday, October 10 at 6:30 p.m., in the Schlow Library Community Room, 211 S. Allen St., State College. Guest speaker Michele Mekel will share her “P’s of Poetry Publication” with members and guests. The event is free and open to the public.

Her poetry has been featured on Garrison Keillor’s The Writer’s Almanac, nominated for Best of the Net, and translated into Cherokee. She served as co-principal investigator for the Viral Imaginations: COVID-19 project (viralimaginations.psu.edu). In addition, Mekel recently had a poetry chapbook published, Under a Quiet Moon.

The Nittany Valley Writers' Network is a sharing, supportive community linking local writers of all genres and levels of experience. For more information, contact Dave at dmarvin14@msn.com.
