Wald, whose works like "Dylan Goes Electric!" and "The Blues: A Very Short Introduction" have captivated readers worldwide, will discuss his latest book, "Jelly Roll Blues: The Life and Music of Jelly Roll Morton." In this insightful new release, Wald offers a deep dive into the life of one of jazz’s most colorful and controversial figures, exploring Morton’s complex legacy and his pivotal role in shaping the early sound of jazz. Wald will also touch on the upcoming film Jelly Roll Morton: The Movie, which draws inspiration from his book and brings Morton’s story to the screen in a new, compelling way.

Elijah’s "Dylan Goes Electric!" book also underpins the much-anticipated new Dylan biopic "A Complete Unknown" in theaters nationwide on December 25th.
