Global Connections will host a World of Poetry Night on Thursday, March 23, 2023, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Webster’s Bookstore Café in State College.

Presenters will read poems in their native or other foreign language and then provide both an English translation and an opportunity for audience comments and questions. Presenters will also talk about why they chose their poems and place the verse in a broader cultural, social, and/or historical context.

Anyone can register to recite a poem at https://globalconnections.wildapricot.org/event-5162387 and attendance is free and open to all. Webster’s Bookstore Café will offer food and beverages. Donations to offset Global Connections’ facility rental and ancillary costs are, of course, both welcomed and encouraged.
