Hometown Voices: Megan Reilley & Evan Reynolds

On Sunday, April 26, at 3pm, Hometown Voices, your local reading & performance series, will host an event featuring essayist, Megan Reilley, and poet, Evan Reynolds, at Tempest Studios, located downtown at 140 Kelly Alley.

This event free and open to the public. Parking in the Fraser Deck (located just above Tempest Studios) is free on most Sundays. Come enjoy local writers and support your creative community!

Megan Reilley is a creative nonfiction writer living and working in State College, PA. She writes through the lens of a motherless daughter as she interrogates societal and personal expectations of female and familial identity, mothering, and the body. Megan is an international board-certified lactation consultant, and before earning her MFA and embarking on a teaching career, she was an editorial and publications professional for more than 20 years. You can read Megan’s work in Proximity/TRUE, 3Cents, Rappahannock Review, and Five Minutes.

Evan Reynolds (he/him) is the author of [abjections] (2024, Spuyten Duyvil Press). He is a 2022 Ragdale in the Schools Fellow and holds a PhD from the Program for Writers at the University of Illinois at Chicago. His work has appeared in ANMLY, coast|nocoast, manywor(l)ds, Rogue Agent, and the Dunning Poets Anthology. He teaches at Penn State in the English Department.
