Ever wonder how to make money from your art? Want to know where and how to find your customers? Not sure what venues or marketing approach will work best for you? Come to this 2-hour discussion with MBA Michael Monko, owner of The Mossy Beetle and get expert advice for how to get started.
This class will cover the steps you need to consider in order to start and operate a successful business. Topics include basic business types, intro to marketing, and will progress to a discussion of useful decision-making tools and concepts.
What is The Rivet?
The Rivet is a makerspace designed for community members who want to take creative or technical classes, learn a new hobby, or use our equipment for their own projects. Several small businesses also work in our space. Many of our classes are taught by community members who want to share their skill.
Workshop hours are for adults 18+. Equipment areas include: woodworking, metalworking, woodturning, welding, pottery, laser cutter, large format printer, embroidery machines and textiles area, 3D printers, jewelry making, electronics, bike repair, and more.
The Rivet is part of Discovery Space, a nonprofit lifelong learning organization aimed at sparking creativity and curiosity for all ages. The main entrance is located beside the large garage door.
