Evening of Huntingdon History
Evening of Huntingdon History
Peggy Ann Bradnick, whose 1966 kidnapping set off an intense weeklong manhunt in southern Huntingdon County, will be the guest speaker at a barbecue dinner benefitting the Huntingdon County Historical Society. The manhunt was the largest the U.S. had ever seen, and before it was over an FBI agent had been killed and a sheriff's deputy wounded. The kidnapper, known locally as "Bicycle Pete," was also killed. Several books and even a popular song followed.
