Donate to Centre Safe and Its Mission During Centre Gives:
Support Survivors and End Violence
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (State College, PA) --With Centre Gives 2023 around the corner, Centre Safe wants people to remember the organization’s critical mission during the annual fundraising campaign and consider financially supporting Centre Safe and its clients across Centre County.
Centre Safe has roots in the county since the 1970s, supporting victims/survivors of sexual assault, domestic/dating violence, and stalking with services including counseling, advocacy, emergency shelter, housing services, legal support, outreach, and education, along with supervised visitation and custody exchanges through its Child Access Center. Every dollar raised through Centre Gives goes directly to individuals and families experiencing trauma and helps the organization continue to provide strong, critical services.
Centre Foundation's 36-hour online giving event is set to begin on May 10 at 8 a.m. and conclude on May 11 at 8 p.m. This event is designed to support the magnificent work of local nonprofits serving Centre County, including Centre Safe.
“We are honored every year to be on the minds of those who financially contribute to Centre Safe through Centre Gives, whether someone donates $1 or $1,000,” said Jennifer Pencek, executive director of Centre Safe. “It is through the generosity of our community that we have been able to grow to provide the high caliber services we provide today and be a lifeline for those experiencing sexual assault, domestic/dating violence, or stalking. From babies to the elderly, our clients include a variety of ages, identities, and lived experiences. Centre Gives allows us to be that source of safety, stability, and strength for those who have often wondered if there was a way out of the darkness.”
