Open Music is collaborating with Sereptie of the Acid Horizon podcast to present an evening of music derived from the ancient Chinese oracular book the I Ching. Specifically, Sereptie has designed a set of I Ching divination cards called Vintagia, complete with stunning photographs from the Documerica project (1970s EPA-funded photography series). An all-acoustic, ever-eclectic, Open Music ensemble will perform improvisations, live compositions, and two new works written for the performance by composers Derek Muro (Los Angeles) and Scott Wollschleger (New York City).
