On Oct. 1, be part of session number 7 of the free, runner-coordinated Discovery Run Training Series in Rothrock State Forest on eight Saturdays, put on by Tussey mOUnTaiNBACK 50 Mile Relay and Ultramarathon. (The series will finish up 8 days before race day, Oct. 16.) The series covers the whole 50-mile course, a chunk at a time. All of the Discovery runs begin at 8 a.m. and start from various locations within the forest.
