Michel Lee Garrett is an author, editor, poet, community organizer, and LGBT+ advocate. She has worked as an investigative reporter, the communications director of a U.S. Senate campaign, and a professional speechwriter. She is the author of the crime fiction collection Born a Ramblin' Man: Fourteen Tales of Thieves, Killers, Vagabonds and Lost Souls, and is currently editing the nonfiction anthology Transcendent Love: True Stories of Trans-for-Trans Relationships, forthcoming.
