The Bob Perks Cancer Assistance Fund (BPF) is calling all to join us at the “starting gate” for a Night at the Races. The BPF is hosting this exciting fundraiser on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Good Shephard Parish Hall in Port Matilda, PA. The doors open at 5:30 P.M. with the horse racing action beginning at 6:30 P.M. Purchase your tickets online at https://bob-perks-cancer-assistance-fund.square.site/ or by calling 814-231-2692. Tickets for the event are $40.00 per person and include a buffet-style dinner and drinks. Reserve a table for six, eight, or ten. Sponsorship opportunities are available. Actual races will be shown and called by a live professional announcer to recreate the racetrack experience. Guests are invited to place wagers on the races. We hope everyone will attend the Night at the Races on May 31, 2025 to support our friends and neighbors battling cancer.

Since our inception, BPF has raised over 3 million dollars to support local cancer patients to pay essential living expenses. For patients receiving this support, it offers a lifeline to cover many of their basic needs, often preventing eviction and utility shut-offs so they may focus on treatment and recovery.

In 2006, BPF was founded in memory of Bob Perks, a State College native, who passed in 2005 after a long battle with melanoma. The BPF helps ease the financial burden of cancer patients who live in Bedford, Blair, Centre, Clearfield, Huntingdon, Juniata, and Mifflin Counties.
