Booklight PA: The School for Good Mothers
Join Spotlight PA and bestselling author Jessamine Chan as we discuss her hit, Philly-based novel The School for Good Mothers as part of our first book club, Booklight PA.
The novel follows Frida Liu, a mother who is struggling in her career and marriage. Her only solace is her daughter. But when the government takes her, Frida must prove through a series of trials that she is fit to be a mother.
We’ll unpack the major themes of the book with Chan, and dive into her writing process.
