Join Stream Guards, a renewed program for quarterly stream sampling and monitoring at selected locations throughout Blair County.
No experience necessary! Training and equipment/supplies are provided by the Blair County Conservation District. Volunteers required to attend BOTH training days & obtain a PA State Fishing License. The Training on June 7th volunteers will experience an interactive hands-on training will occur in the field along an easily accessible location at the Beaverdam Branch Juniata River system. Learn how to collect & identify macroinvertebrates, assess a stream, & use sampling equipment. Registration for the Training is required by May 16th, 2025.
