A Conversation with Chef Tawnya Brant
Join Penn State Sustainability and the Dr. Keiko Miwa Ross Student Farm at 4pm in 132 Flex Theater (HUB) as we welcome Sustainability Showcase Speaker Tawnya Brant. Tawnya Brant is a Kanyen’kehá:ka (Mohawk) woman, an entrepreneur, author, and Top Chef Canada competitor who is a leader in the Indigenous food sovereignty movement. This event will provide a chance to learn firsthand from Tawnya about her journey, her mission, and her vision for Indigenous food sovereignty. Tawnya is partnering with Penn State Sustainability from November 12-15 for a film panel, cooking demonstration, special dinner with Penn State Dining Services, and meetings with community and campus groups.
