In Performance at Penn State: July 2020

Jul 14, 2020

In Performance at Penn State is a monthly hour-long program that showcases performances from Penn State's School of Music. This month, the show begins with the concert overture “In Autumn” by Edvard Grieg, from the Penn State Philharmonic, conducted by Timothy Farrand. Then, from the Penns Woods Music Festival, clarinetist Anthony Costa, cellist Kim Cook and pianist Kathy Gattuso Cinatl play Beethoven’s Trio in B-flat for Clarinet, Cello & Piano.  The Penn State Concert Choir, directed by Christopher Kiver, sings the motet,” Thou, O Jehovah, abideth forever” by Aaron Copland.  And to end the hour, the Penn State Chamber Orchestra, led by Gerardo Edelstein, plays Copland’s “Three Latin American Sketches.”
