The Tall Trees are Tim Grimm and Ben Bedford– two highly acclaimed Midwestern songwriters, joined by the very tall Diederik van Wassenaer on fiddle.
Tim and Ben have well established solo careers, and Dierderik performs in multiple bands, so a Tall Trees concert is a rare treat. We were lucky to capture their performance at the intimate and acoustically outstanding Center for Well-Being in Lemont. The concert was on May 7, 2016, part of the Acoustic Brew series. Tim and Ben traded lead vocals on their own songs, and each took a turn in a solo arrangement of a few songs. All three joined in on vocal harmonies many times during the evening.
