Pennsylvania is holding a special election today to fill a seat in the U.S. House. The Republican nominee Fred Keller is the favorite to win in the district and he got a campaign stop by President Trump Monday evening.

“Raise your right hand. Do you all promise you’re going to go out and vote?” Trump said to the crowd at a rally for Republican nominee Fred Keller. Trump flew into Montoursville, Pennsylvania. He said the election was a “little bit of a referendum.”

Keller, who currently serves in the Pennsylvania state House, said if elected he’ll back the president’s agenda.

“Pennsylvania, do we want four more years?" Keller said to cheers from the crowd. "We do Mr. President. We are making America great again.”

The Democratic nominee Marc Friedenberg said he thinks Pennsylvanians are ready for change. He said Trump’s policies are hurting Pennsylvanians in the district.

“Rural Pennsylvania is being left behind economically," Friedenberg said. "We are seeing this brain drain. We’re seeing a widening wealth gap between rural Pennsylvania and the rest of the commonwealth, and it’s because we’re not investing in the infrastructure our people need.”

Friedenberg ran against and lost to Tom Marino in November. Marino resigned in January for health reasons.
