'Witness as Study': A Creative Writing Workshop at Rhoneymeade with Carolyne Meehan
Join Ridgelines Language Arts Teaching Artist Carolyne Meehan for an afternoon of creative writing at Rhoneymeade Arboretum and Sculpture Gardens. In this workshop we'll take time to slow down, pay attention, be still with ourselves, and find stories in the sculptures and elements of nature at Rhoneymeade. We'll be guided by Ross Gay's notion of "witness as study" as we move about the grounds, observe outer and inner movements, and consider what it means for us in this moment to witness the world. This workshop is part of ROOTS & BLOOMS, A Ridgelines series of programming for cis and trans women, non-binary folks, and other gender-marginalized writers, doodlers, and dreamers in central PA. 'Witness as Study' will take place outdoors at a social distance; participants are also welcome to wear masks. For more information about Rhoneymeade, please visit ~ https://www.rhoneymeade.org/
