Jitterbug Dance Contest
We want to see you dance. The Bellefonte Historical and Cultural Association is sponsoring a jitterbug dance contest for adults who know how to strut their stuff. The contest will be held in the heart of the Bellefonte Cruise, next to the main stage on the Diamond in front of the Courthouse. Dancers will compete for cash prizes of $250, $100, and $50. Trophies will also be awarded to the winners.
The competition is limited to twenty couples. Dancers must be at least 18 years old. After one warm-up dance, there will be three scored dances. You’ll be a winner if you make it to the third judged dance because it will include only finalist couples.
Contestants will be dancing on the Allegheny Street pavement, so keep that in mind when planning your moves and footwear.
