Explorers of the Wild

Howard, PA – Bald Eagle State Park and a group of Penn State students from Recreation, Park, and Tourism Management have united to host Explorers of the Wild, an environmental learning experience that will take place on Wednesday, October 27, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. We are calling all homeschool families to come to join us at the park. Activities where participants will learn more about the wilderness. This includes learning about trees, bees, birds, and more. Explorers of the Wild is designed for homeschool children between the ages of 5-18 years old, however, parents are welcome to come to observe as well. Our free event will showcase different activities to keep the homeschooled children entertained for the entire duration of the event. This event is being planned and executed by Penn State students in the Recreation, Park, and Tourism Management program. The event will be held at Bald Eagle State Park at 149 Main Park Rd, Howard, PA 16841. The event will be headquartered under Pavilion 6 in the Beach Area. Parking is provided on-site for free by the park, with additional assessable parking in front of the pavilion. Registration will be available under the pavilion.
