Campus Comedy Night featuring Preacher Lawson
Campus Comedy Night, presented with the help of the Center for the Performing Arts Student Advisory Council and arts engagement assistants, will feature “America’s Got Talent” alum Preacher Lawson and gender-nonconforming comedian Kate Sisk.
Lawson, a self-proclaimed “stand-up comedian, actor, singer, human and professional Black guy,” made his debut on season 12 of “America’s Got Talent,” where he made it to the final rounds. The fan favorite returned to the show for “The Champions” in 2019. Lawson recorded a stand-up special for BET+ in 2019, and he continues to perform at sold-out venues across the country.
Sisk, known for work on the “We’re Having Gay Sex” podcast, has appeared on HBO’s “Women in Comedy Festival.” Sisk’s material touches on life as a gender-nonconforming person and their experiences as a former player for the Puerto Rico Women’s National Soccer Team.
Seating is general admission.
