Event Description

Why can some bugs walk on water? Has your child or student ever asked you this question? Do you want to know how to answer them? If so, come join us during our next live webinar, Sunday Oct 11 at 2pm, where we’ll do some really fun science demos that answer these questions and more! Virtual Scientist was developed by graduate students in the Penn State chemistry department during the throes of COVID-19 as a way to virtually engage the community in science while we are unable to meet in person. It is a series of webinars where we will demonstrate fun, at home and easily accessible science demos virtually through Zoom. It is geared towards parents, guardians or educators who would like to learn about science demos that they can do at home or in school with their children or students. The webinars are live so that anyone can try it with us and ask questions about the demo or the science behind the demo. Learn more or watch our previous demos by checking out our website (https://sites.psu.edu/chemgsc/virtual-scientist/)!
