Event Description

May at the Gallery Shop Atrium Exhibit by Kim Filkins, Lena Thynell and Steve Strouse. May 1 - June 2 Glass artist Kim Filkins' two-step process involves first cutting the glass and firing in a kiln. A second firing is then done on a ceramic mold to give the piece its final shape. Through the grace and beauty of nature, individual grains of sand evolve into whimsical and functional works of art. Local woodworker, Steve Strouse will be featuring his traditional Shaker boxes which are made utilizing locally salvaged hardwoods.  This year he will also be displaying some of his new live edge pieces including tables, mirrors and small picture frames. Lena Thynell a Signature Member of several Watercolor Societies, Plein Air Painter and Award winning watercolor artist will exhibit her paintings from our surrounding area.
