Philly's 'Violence Interrupters' Try To Get More People To Put Down Their Guns

The mayor of Philadelphia declared gun violence a “public health crisis” four months ago and gave his cabinet 100 days to come up with new ways to curb violence. As that deadline approaches, a crisis intervention program is showing promise. Bobby Allyn (@bobbyallyn) of WHYY followed a team of Philadelphia’s “violence interrupters” as they attempted to avert gunfights.
