Police Blame Road Rage For Murder Of Muslim Teen In Virginia

Police in Fairfax County, Virginia, say the murder of a 17-year-old Muslim girl on Sunday was a case of road rage, not a hate crime. Nabra Hassanen and a group of friends were returning to their mosque after a late-night visit to a fast-food restaurant when someone in the group got into an argument with the suspect, Darwin Martinez Torres.

The killing has put the local Muslim community on edge. Here & Now‘s Robin Young gets the latest from WAMU’s Carmel Delshad (@cdelshad).
