Experts Question Whether Pelvic Exams, Hand Sanitizers Are Effective

This week the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force said there’s not enough evidence to benefit doing annual pelvic exams for women who are healthy and not pregnant, and the government advisory panel is seeking public comment on the matter. Also, the Food and Drug Administration is looking for more information about whether hand sanitizer gels are safe and effective.
