At UC Berkeley, A Debate Over Free Speech

It became national news this week when Ann Coulter canceled an appearance at the University of California Berkeley, after student groups sponsoring the event pulled their support amid rising tensions and an inability to secure a venue on campus.

Coulter is the second prominent conservative in two months to have a Berkeley event scuttled out of safety concerns, prompting criticism that the university isn’t living up to its free speech ideals.

There were more demonstrations on Thursday, but no arrests. Youth Radio’s Brett Myers was there and has this report.
