Niagara Bottled Water Issues Voluntary Recall

Due to E. coli concerns, Niagara Bottling issued a voluntary recall for all spring water products produced in its PA manufacturing facilities between June 10th and June 18th. Niagara Bottling is one of the providers of spring water for some Pennsylvania grocery chains.

While there have been no reports of illness yet, Niagara offered this statement:

“Out of an abundance of caution and in the strict interest of public safety, Niagara Bottling, LLC is issuing a voluntary recall for all spring water products produced at both the Hamburg, PA and Allentown, PA facilities from the time frame of 3am (EDT) June 10th to 8pm (EDT) June 18, 2015.”

The company says that they use "disinfection technology that would ensure that our product is free from contamination" and "confirmed there have been no issues or E. coli contamination of any kind detected in our finished products or in the spring water that was delivered to our bottling facility."

The spring water is sold under the following brand names: Acadia, Acme, Big Y, Best Yet, 7-11, Niagara, Nature’s Place, Pricerite, Superchill, Morning Fresh, Shaws, Shoprite, Western Beef Blue and Wegman’s.
