LGBTQ Folks: What Is Your Experience With Study Abroad?

Updated on Dec. 18, 2017:

Studying abroad can be a nerve-wracking experience for any student — including those who identify as LGBTQ.

In 2017, 72 of the world's countries have laws criminalizing same-sex relationships, according to an annual report from the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association.

NPR is looking to hear from LGBTQ folks of all identities: What has been your experience with study abroad? Do you feel your school or program prepared you?

A producer may reach out to you to follow up on your response, and it may be used in an upcoming story, on air or on NPR.org.
