An archive recording for the WPSU Jazz show as aired on March 4, 2016, produced and hosted by Craig Johnson. The recording features a Jazz@ThePalmer recording of the Arthur Goldstein Quartet, as performed in September 2015.  Support for Jazz@ThePalmer comes from Fred and Judy Sears, and Tire Town Auto Service Centre in State College. 

 
The quartet features Kevin Lowe on drums, Chip Robinson on bass, Steve Bowman on saxophones, and Arthur Goldstein on keyboard. 
 
Arthur Goldstein was born in Pittsburgh and now resides in State College, where he currently teaches music history courses at Penn State University and piano at The Music Academy. He has been on the faculty of Bucknell University.
 
His academic background includes an MA degree in English Literature from the University of Pittsburgh and an MFA degree in composition from Penn State, with emphasis in piano. He has studied jazz with Bill Dobbins at the Eastman School of Music and with Joe Lovano and Ken Werner at the Sandpoint Festival. In addition he continues piano studies with Alexander Fiorillo at Temple University.

Craig Johnson is your local host for weekday All Things Considered. Craig makes his home in the State College area with his wife, daughter and son. He’s been involved in radio broadcasting since 1977 when he got a part-time job while still in high school at a radio station in Somerset, PA. He graduated from Juniata College in Huntingdon, PA with a BA in music. (And he can play the guitar just like ringin’ a bell)
