The Folk Show Road Show  is a monthly series broadcast on WPSU-FM the 3rd Tuesday of each month featuring concerts recorded at venues in Central Pennsylvania.   Many of the broadcasts of the Road Show feature two concerts, each recorded at a different venue. November's broadcast featured The Box Car Lillies in the first hour,  and Peter Case in the second.

The Box Car Lilies are three songwriters —Jenny Goodspeed, Stephanie Marshall, and Katie Clarke—who join together to create vocal harmonies for their original songs, and to perform songs from artists like Town Van Zandt and Neil Young.  Their perforance as part of the Acoustic Brew Concert Series was captured at the Center for Well-being in Lemont on a warm May day in 2014.

Peter Case's  stop at the Wagon Shed Concert Series in New Freedom comes along a long road that has taken Case from Buffalo NY  at an early age,  to life as a street performer on the west coast,  to the leader of a well known punk rock band,  to travels with his musician/son,  and for the past 25 years to a mostly solo career.   One noteworthy career item: his song "Two Angels"   was recently featured on an episode of  the vampire show "True Blood".   Wait 'il you hear him tell the story.....

Mel DeYoung hosts Morning Edition on WPSU and is in the broadcast booth before 5am each weekday. That means that if he's being sensible he goes to sleep way earlier than normal people do. The differences don't end there, but you'll have to chat with Mel sometime to understand the full depth of his abnormality.
