Event Description

Raising Financially Smart Children

Raising Financially Smart Children Mid-State Literacy Council in collaboration with the Pennsylvania Employees Credit Union and hosted by Schlow Centre Region Library will present a new program for children in grades 1-5. The program will emphasize teaching children how money works and making smart decisions with money. Discussion and activities will revolve around the topics of Earning, Spending & Saving. Information will be provided on financial tips, managing money, financial transactions, savings strategies, comparative shopping, setting goals, earning money, and saving and giving. PSECU will be providing some give-a-watys to those children attendind The program is open to the public and there is no cost to attend, but registration is required by September 30; call 814-238-1809to attend. All children must be accompanied by an adult and older siblings are welcome.
